Dr Knox commonly performs Facial Surgery on both men and women. The common request is for a natural but rejuvenated look.

Following surgery patients report that they are more confident, feel youthful and are invigorated to get out and enjoy life.

You should be aware that a Face Lift does not address eye or brow issues and that the eyes and brow may require surgery to achieve the all over result you are looking for.

Often patients choose to combine a number of facial procedures along with some Non Surgical Treatments to optimize their surgical outcome and improve the condition and appearance of their skin.

At your consultation Dr Knox will inform you of all the likely outcomes including bruising, scar lines, wound treatment, suture removal and the requirements for time off work and activity levels post surgery.

Face Lifts

A Face Lift  (also known as a Face/Neck Lift) is a procedure that helps to remove excess skin, reduce sagging and  return a youthful shape to the face and neck.  Liposuction may also be used to help maximize the result. There are a number of different techniques for this surgery and Dr Knox will discuss what is best for you.

Depending on the method of surgery the procedure may be performed under Local Anaesthetic, Twilight Sedation or  a General Anaesthetic.

An overnight hospital stay is recommended and for  those patients having an extensive procedure and with limited home support.

Patients routinely report getting a thrill at receiving comments on how well they look following this procedure.

Non Surgical Laser Treatments can provide a short term facial tightening but can not achieve the results that surgery does.

Eye lid surgery

Excess skin and wrinkles can be removed from both the upper and lower eyelids.

An Upper Blepharoplasty is a wonderful procedure as it opens up the eyes and immediately helps those people who have had their vision or look inhibited by excess skin. Women love it as it helps give a good surface on which to apply makeup and the makeup can been seen.

Many patients report that they love their new look in photos as they have regained their eyes.

A Lower Blepharoplasty is designed to remove excess skin and wrinkles from below the eyes.

An Upper Blepharoplasty can be done under Local Anaesthetic in the Centre but a  Lower Blepharoplasty or combined procedure requires a General Anaesthetic in Hospital with a possible overnight stay.

Patients with dark circles under their eyes or hallowed areas will need to look to Non Surgical Treatments to help with these concerns.

Brow Lifts

A Brow Lift is a procedure that reduces the sagging of the brow and minimizes the lines and wrinkles on the forehead. It often helps to open up the eyes and can be done in association with an Upper Blepharoplasty.

The procedure is done in hospital under a General Anaesthetic.

The frequent comment is that patients are delighted to loose their angry look and enjoy having a more relaxed appearance.
